Four of us had lunch there on Wednesday, and found the staff, delicious food and log fire very welcoming. Only minus was the ladies in the group, were being referred to as 'guys" as in "Enjoy guys" We found this a minor irritation but one that should be addressed, as it seems to be fast becoming the normal .

This is a lovely pub on the main road. The car park is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. I came at a quiet time in the middle of a week day, but the feel of the place was welcoming. I came in only for a drink (non-alcoholic Erdinger), but ended up having food too (Steak & Ale Pie with chips). I didn't have to wait very long for the food and it was delicious when it came. The steak was tender and the pastry was done perfectly. They have an outside seating area next to the car park, but I felt that with the proximity to the main road it might not be the best seating. Saying that the inside was comfortable with plenty of open and more private spots to sit depending on what you prefer.

Attended a private party in the sun lounge. Did not stay overnight. Have also visited several times using the bar and pub meals. A good traditional pub. Good parking.

Great pub. Good location. We stayed 5 nights. Bus right out the front. Good food and beer. Boss Adam was extremely accommodating. A special shout out to Lauren and Olivia who were excellent and provided great service.

I had an absolutely fantastic meal at this restaurant! I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, and it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The chicken was perfectly cooked — tender, juicy, and full of flavour — and the salad itself was fresh and well-balanced, with just the right amount of creamy, tangy dressing and plenty of crisp romaine and Parmesan. But the real highlight? The chunky chips. They arrived piping hot, golden, and wonderfully crispy on the outside while remaining fluffy and soft inside. Exactly how proper chunky chips should be! Every bite was a little piece of comfort-food heaven. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed yet welcoming, and everything was served promptly. I’ll definitely be back — and next time I might just order those chips as a side to everything! Highly recommended.

My brother and I go for lunch a few times a year when I'm home visiting. Its strength is it consistency. Food always good, tasty, hot. Service always courteous, place always clean. Big recommendation for all of their haggis dishes, including the chicken and haggis lasagne.
